BRUSSELS

Preliminary results of our European Parliamentary Research Service evaluation of the implementation of policy coherence for development (PCD) in selected EU legislation and policies. The study aims to draw lessons from the implementation of PDC in two case studies – 1) the conflict minerals regulation and 2) the legal pathways of migration to the EU – to assess its impact on poverty reduction and development cooperation. Ultimately the study seeks to identify lessons to enhance the implementation of PCD across EU policies, thus breaking silos across the EU internal-external policy divide.
